hi alix – are you double-sure there are activity codes assigned to activities in the project you have opened?
i have included a report download at the bottom of the post – try that to see if there’s a different.

michael lepage. i have the same problem. i started with one project open and then tried opening another project too to see if that made a difference but i only get the first column and no activity code assignment count.]]>

great post. i’ve tried it about 12x now and i can’t get the ‘activity code assignment count’ to pull through to the report. did others have this problem? thanks!

thank you for your reply, i will.
curiously, reports on project baselines can loop through all the bls and are able to tell to which project they are assigned, even if those are closed. i had high hopes that p6 could do the same with codes!
but anyway i’ll go and do a bunch of tries now, thanks 🙂

paul melois. there is not, unfortunately. however, p6 can handle a ton of projects open at the same time. i have never crashed a server or a pc opening a lot of projects in p6. give it a try.]]>

is there any way to have the report running on closed projects? i have a large number of projects inside a complex eps, and i’d like to avoid opening each and everyone of them. in fact i don’t think i could without crashing my company’s server…

hi bill,
i don’t think running pivot tables as you did with the old btrieve db is possible with p6 anymore. i’m not 100% familiar with p3’s reporting, but p6’s report writer is tricky to use.

mr. lepage, i have been using primavera since the early 90s and one thing i found helpful was the ability to run pivot tables in the old betrive data base, i have not been able to duplicate that report in the newer versions of primavera, i just recently figured out how to get a good p3 type predecessor, successors report any tips or tricks on how to do pivot table reports in p6 new version report writer
