if activities on your activities screen are “greyed out” – that means that you have “cut” them (as in cut & paste), but have not pasted them. if you tap esc, they will no longer be greyed out.

1) check the file size. most xer files are under 3-5 megabytes for medium to large projects. if the xer is say 10megs, then you have a pobs problem with the file. you’ll have to clean the file – as we show here.
2) where is your database? it could be a network issue if you database is on a network server, or if you’re using a cloud connection.
